Unauthorized immigration in the United States: impact, media representation and legalization reform

Abstract
Este artículo analiza los efectos que la migración desautorizada ha causado en diferentes ámbitos en los Estados Unidos (US), la representación y trato mediático que personas indocumentadas y la reforma migratoria reciben de parte de diferentes medios. Considerando y contrastando diferentes análisis académicos y usando ejemplos contemporáneos para resaltar las variadas situaciones que personas indocumentadas enfrentan diariamente, este artículo ofrece una visión de posibles escenarios futuros en cuanto a la inestabilidad legal de la gente afectada por su estado migratorio y qué tan posible es que se les ofrezca legalización.
