Student satisfaction with remote classes and teacher competencies in times of pandemic
Main Article Content
Abstract
The aim of the study was to investigate the relationship between satisfaction with educational services and teacher competencies in the remote learning context during the pandemic. A total of 291 students from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at a public university participated, providing informed consent. Two questionnaires were administered to assess satisfaction with the quality of educational services and the perception of teacher competencies in remote learning. Statistical analysis using the Spearman's Rho correlation coefficient revealed a significant association between student satisfaction and teacher competencies, with a correlation coefficient of 0.709 (p-value > 0.01). This association persisted when examining each dimension of educational quality in relation to teacher competencies. In conclusion, a significant positive association was found between satisfaction with educational services and teacher competencies, as perceived by students in a remote context, suggesting that student satisfaction is strongly influenced by the competencies of their teachers.
